Overview

The Home Office can provide accommodation and financial support under Schedule 10 of the Immigration Act 2016 to some people who are subject to immigration bail.

Support may be provided when a person is released from immigration detention or when they are already living in the community.

Schedule 10 support is only available when a person has no other source of accommodation or financial support. If a person is eligible for support from the Home Office or a local authority, such as asylum support, they will not qualify for Schedule 10 support.

Schedule 10 support is not available to families. Families who need accommodation and financial support may be able to access support from children's social care.
