This is an exiting opportunity to join the No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF) Network to make a real difference to local authority practice and outcomes for people who are living in the UK without a settled form of immigration status.
We are looking for someone who can draw on their specialist knowledge to:
- Provide councils with specialist advice about how immigration status affects entitlements to benefits, housing, social care and other services
- Write informative, accurate, and accessible guidance for social workers and other local authority practitioners
- Work strategically with a diverse range of stakeholders to influence policy and practice change at a local and national level
As an employee of a local government organisation hosted by Islington Council, a Borough of Sanctuary, you will gain an excellent understanding of how councils across the UK can best respond to the needs of residents and local communities to end homelessness and destitution.
You will contribute to maintaining the NRPF Network as a centre of expertise to help councils and other organisations to navigate and implement complex immigration, benefits, and social care laws.
If you have the right skills and experience, and an ambition to make the NRPF Network an even more valuable resource for our stakeholders, please apply!
We are particularly interested in receiving applications from people with a specialist knowledge of immigration, housing, and/or welfare rights law.
As this post has a national remit, we can offer a flexible work style.
