3 and 4-year-olds (15 hours)

15 hours per week of free childcare is provided universally to all children in England who are age 3 and 4 years old. Children can receive this regardless of their, or their parent's, immigration status.

The universal provision consists of 570 hours of free childcare or early education each year, which must be taken over at least 38 weeks. For example, 15 hours per week for 38 weeks of the year.
