Working together to safeguard Islington's children
Overview
The purpose of the sub-group is to:
provide opportunities for the ISCP to hear and learn from Education providers in order to strengthen multi-agency working
draw on the experiences of a core group of professionals engaged in the safeguarding and promotion of well-being of children and families to inform policies, procedures and practices of the ISCP
support the dissemination of recommended best safeguarding practice in education across Islington schools and settings
collaborate with the ISCP to further strengthen agencies collective efforts to safeguard children.
The responsibilities of the sub-group are to:
contribute to reviewing the effectiveness of ISCP policies, procedures and systems in educational settings
act as a professional consultation group to inform the development and monitoring of ISCP responsibilities, practices and procedures
promote a shared understanding of responsibilities and challenges faced by key agencies when managing safeguarding and welfare to further strengthen multi-agency work and collaboration
identify and promote the dissemination of best practice in safeguarding, and the expectations of the ISCP, across Islington schools and education providers
support the ISCP in efficiently and effectively addressing identified safeguarding issues in educational settings.
