Arsenal Emirates Stadium

The striking Emirates Stadium became the new home for Arsenal Football Club in 2006. With a capacity for over 60,000 people it’s the second largest football club stadium in the country. The complexity and scale of the project called for specialist building control expertise and extensive local knowledge.

The clients at Arsenal Football Club and Populous appointed Islington Council to support the project from design stage through to completion.

The council set up a development team approach with planners, building control, licensing, highways, transport officers all working together to help our clients keep the project running smoothly.

Throughout the project we worked closely with our clients to ensure that building met high standards of fire safety, access, crowd control and security.

Based on the quality of work and specialist knowledge of our surveyors, Islington Council Building Control has now been asked to provide a consulting role for the Olympics construction projects in Tower Hamlets.
