When a child has been living with someone who is not a close relative the situation should be disclosed to the local authority.
If you are the parent or carer of a child who is being privately fostered in Islington, you must tell us. This is so that we can provide support to you and the child. We will also need to make regular checks to make sure that the child is safe and happy.
Our aim is to support your private fostering, not to interfere with arrangements that are working well.
