We will be doing important maintenance on our website from 9am until 5pm on Sunday 9 March. This means that you won't be able to use My eAccount, pay for services or fill in some online forms during this time.

If you can't do what you need to, try again later. We're very sorry if you are affected by this essential work.

Morton Road Park

We're making improvements to Morton Road Park.

We are committed to building a greener, healthier borough and improving our parks and greenspaces for all residents to use. Local councillors have allocated £196,000 of S106 money from developers to improve Morton Road Park.

We are planning to make improvements to the play area in the park, including:
New playground equipment
Imaginative line marking (sports markings and activity trail)
New planting beds to soften some of the hard landscaping around play equipment
Additional seating
New tree planting to provide more shade

We have appointed Active Landscapes Ltd to deliver the improvements and are happy to say that work is scheduled to commence on 19 February 2024 with an estimated duration of 6 weeks.

Construction work will take place between 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday.

The play areas and park entrances will remain closed for the duration of the work. Please see signs on site for further information.

No roads will be closed during this work, although there may be minor disruption to roads / walkways to allow for delivery of materials and machinery to the site.

The improvement works include the introduction of new semi-mature trees and planting to help create shade in the play areas, and there may be some cutting back of shrubs in line with regular maintenance of the site. This work does not involve removing any trees.

You can view the plans and find out more information on the project by visiting the Morton Road Park Let’s Talk Islington page.
