Some online services unavailable on Saturday 23 November and Monday 25 November

Due to essential maintenance some of our online services will be unavailable over the next few days.

  • On Saturday 23 November between 9am–5pm you will be unable to view your council tax, council tax support and housing benefits accounts or documents while we upgrade our systems.
  • On Monday 25 November between 6–11pm our online parking services will be unavailable. During this time, you won’t be able to review or pay for parking tickets or buy parking permits or visitor vouchers.

We are sorry for any inconvenience while we carry out these necessary works.

Parking suspensions for funerals, weddings, and community events

Check what you need to do and other useful information about applying for parking suspensions for community events, funerals, and weddings and civil partnerships.

Funerals

We understand you may find it hard to fill in an online application during a difficult time. If you need help to fill it in, email ParkingSuspensions@islington.gov.uk.

Weddings and civil partnerships

We can suspend parking for weddings and civil partnerships near or around where the wedding or civil partnership ceremony is taking place.

The parking suspension will only be for the vehicle or carriage, but we will do what we can to help if you need it for something else.

Relatives or friends attending the event can apply for a parking waiver by emailing contracts.enforcement@islington.gov.uk and including 'Waivers required' in the subject line. There may be a charge for the waivers.

Community events

Before completing the online application form to apply for a suspension, email streetworks@islington.gov.uk.

We place parking suspension signs at the locations for the event 10 days before the event starts, if possible. The signs will be checked again before the event.

We do not issue parking tickets or relocate vehicles parked in suspended bays for community events while it is happening. Event organisers and staff should communicate with locals before the event and make sure the area is free of vehicles before the event starts.

Parking suspensions are usually booked from 8.30am to 6.30pm for the day. These times are flexible. Let us know if the event is cancelled or finishes early so we can bring back the usual parking restrictions.

To remove the suspension sign, email parking.equipment@islington.gov.uk.
