Some online services unavailable on Saturday 23 November and Monday 25 November

Due to essential maintenance some of our online services will be unavailable over the next few days.

  • On Saturday 23 November between 9am–5pm you will be unable to view your council tax, council tax support and housing benefits accounts or documents while we upgrade our systems.
  • On Monday 25 November between 6–11pm our online parking services will be unavailable. During this time, you won’t be able to review or pay for parking tickets or buy parking permits or visitor vouchers.

We are sorry for any inconvenience while we carry out these necessary works.

Islington Council is a landlord of around 36,300 homes - 25,500 are tenanted homes and 10,800 are leasehold properties. Our ambition to make Islington a fairer and more equal place starts with everyone in our community having a decent, genuinely affordable and a safe place to call home.

Complying with consumer standards

The senior housing management team is responsible for consumer standards compliance and monitoring. The senior management team is:

Jed Young - Acting Corporate Director Homes and Neighbourhoods

  • Chair of the Service Improvement Board.
  • Overall responsibility for consumer standard compliance and service improvement of all housing services.

Ian Swift - Director of Housing Operations and Deputy Corporate Director

  • Tenancy standard.
  • Transparency, accountability, influence standard.
  • Neighbourhood and community standard.

Matt West - Director, Housing Property Services

  • Safety and quality homes standard.

Tenant Management Organisations (TMO)

We have 23 TMO and Co-Operatives in Islington. The council has arrangements with TMOs and Co-Operatives for the management of 3,017 council-owned properties. Find out more about our TMOs.

Partners for Improvement (Partners)

Partners manage and maintain around 2,800 homes for the council under a 30-year contract (until 2033). The contract was set up as a Private Finance Initiative (PFI) to bring these homes up to the decent homes standard and keep them at this level.

Housing Revenue Account
