Proposed traffic calming on Gladsmuir Road and Whitehall Park

We are proposing traffic calming measures on Gladsmuir Road and sections on Whitehall Park.

This consultation has ended

Start date 17 February 2023
End date 12 March 2023

Islington Council has identified safety implications as a result of speeding and high volume of traffic on Gladsmuir Road and sections of Whitehall Park.

To improve road safety, prevent excessive speeding and reduce the traffic volume, Islington Council aims to introduce traffic calming measures in the form of rubber speed tables along Gladsmuir Road and sections of Whitehall Park.

As part of these proposed improvements, we are also proposing to refresh the existing road markings as well as proposing new road markings – 20mph roundels and 'slow' road markings.

Rubber speed tables are proposed outside the following properties:

  • 68 Gladsmuir Road
  • 42 Gladsmuir Road
  • 14 Gladsmuir Road
  • 6 Whitehall Park
  • 80 Whitehall Park
