Consultation of three Supplementary Planning Documents: Location and Concentration of Uses; Basement Development; Development Viability

This consultation has ended

Start date 10 July 2015
End date 04 September 2015

Supplementary Planning Documents (SPDs) provide guidance and add further detail to Islington's local planning policies and are used in making decisions on planning applications for different types of development.

From Friday 10 July 2015 until Friday 4 September 2015, the council would like to get your views on the following draft SPDs:

  • Location and Concentration of Uses - the draft SPD provides guidance on how to identify those areas where certain uses create concern, and put in place measures to prevent over-concentration, with additional focus on three specific uses - hot food takeaways, betting shops and payday loan shops.
  • Basement Development - the draft SPD provides detailed guidance to support the assessment of planning applications involving basement development.
  • Development Viability - the draft SPD identifies a range of issues and proposes approaches for how viability in the planning application process is addressed.
