Safeguarding people from being drawn into extremism or radicalisation
Radicalisation and extremism are serious risks to Islington. Our Prevent programme was developed in response to the government’s Contest strategy (2023). We focus on early intervention, working in partnership with schools, the local community, police and security services to identify and protect vulnerable individuals or groups from being radicalised or drawn into extremism
