Fireworks licence
You must have a licence in order to store or sell fireworks in Islington. This licence only allows you to sell or store fireworks at certain times of the year.
All licence applications must be submitted to us before the end of October each year to allow us time to process them before key dates.
When you can sell or store fireworks
This licence only allows you to sell or store fireworks during the following periods:
- 5 October - 10 November
- 26 December - 1 January
- Chinese New Year (four days before and including the day of Chinese New Year)
- Diwali (four days before and including the day of Diwali).
Please email trading.standards@islington.gov.uk if you are looking for a licence to sell or store fireworks outside of these dates.
