Christmas and new year opening times and services

Find out our opening times and service changes over Christmas and New Year holidays. This includes changes to bin collection days, parking and customer contact centre opening hours.

Islington Town Hall will be closed from Thursday 2 to Monday 6 January 2025 for planned maintenance. Registrar services will be reopen on Monday 6 January 2025.

Lawful Bases

Our legal bases for using personal data are under contract with the Education and Skills Agency (ESFA), Greater London Authority (GLA) or their successor organisations to provide (adult) education and to comply with our applicable statutory obligations and to perform our tasks carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the council.

Recipients

  • Government agencies, such as Ofsted, Department for Education (EFA), Education Skills and Funding Agency (ESFA), Department for Works and Pensions (DWP) and Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC) or their successor organisations.
  • Greater London Authority (GLA) or its successor organisation
  • Learning Record Service (LRS) or its successor organisation
  • Workers' Record Service (WEA) or its successor organisation in relation to the Good Work for All project only
  • Third party (data processors) organisations, that support Islington ACL’s activities, including:
    • Learner learning platform and course management system: Moodie (Terrabase Ltd)
    • Data collection and course enrolment system: Learner Track and WebEnrol (Monterpoint Technologies Ltd) and AQUA
    • Learner surveys provider: QDP Services

How long we keep your personal information

Non-accredited provision (formerly Community Learning (CL))

Six years after the end of the financial year in which the academic year concludes or concluded.

Accredited provision (formerly Adult Skills Budget (ASB))

2007-2013: Until 31 December 2022

2014-2019: Until 31 December 2030

From 1 August 2019 onwards: six years after the end of the financial year in which the academic year concludes or concluded
